Wreaths Across America

The Troy Historical Society has joined Wreaths Across America (WAA) to serve as the Group Coordinator for the seven cemeteries in the Troy Cemetery District.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, WAA’s mission is to Remember, Honor and Teach by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies for veteran’s gravesites.

The Troy Cemetery District presently has over 220 veterans buried in the seven cemeteries.

Each wreath costs $17 and can be purchased on-line or by mail-in forms. You can reach the Troy page on the WAA web site by using this link: www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/ID0037

The mail in forms can be printed off or you can stop by the Troy Museum for one. Be sure to use the Group code of ID0037 and the specific cemetery code for one of our seven cemeteries.

Because this is the first year, we will be holding wreath-laying ceremonies at only two cemeteries. Ceremonies will be on Saturday 16 December 2023. 9AM at Burnt Ridge and 1PM at Beulah cemeteries.

The other five cemeteries will have the wreaths placed without a formal ceremony.
